Where I can help
This isn’t a complete catalogue, just a selection of topics where I bring plenty of experience.
Open source instead of license fees
Chat, tickets, projects, automation and data pipelines: Zammad, Rocket.Chat, Mattermost, n8n, Apache NiFi, OpenProject. Pragmatic, not dogmatic: I recommend open source where it really saves money compared with expensive software, and otherwise whatever is more economical.
WordPress & e-commerce
Websites, shops and easy administration: hardening, WordPress networks, WooCommerce, WordPress as a CRM, training. PHP has always been home to me. In e-commerce also Shopware, Shopify and PrestaShop.
Google Workspace
Mail, chat, calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive and Meet with AI (Gemini) and collaboration in one package – it can replace Microsoft 365 entirely. Plus automation, identity and integration with your own systems.
AI in the company
Adoption with a sense of proportion and compliance (AI Act, data protection): LLMs and RAG, custom flows with n8n and Gemini, Claude and AI-assisted coding.
Mentoring
For founders and tech leads: product development, team building, agility, processes. I support rather than lead myself – with experience from the first startup steps to around 100 developers across many teams and locations.
Guiding hardware projects
I don’t design circuit boards myself, but I guide the path from idea through SMD manufacturing to certification and know many of the pitfalls of connected devices.
Project & knowledge tools
Jira and Confluence for 20 years. Since Atlassian has discontinued Server and only the cloud remains, I guide the move, for example to OpenProject.
From practice I also know GDPR audits, ISO 9001/14001/50001 management systems, occupational safety, working-time recording, pay transparency, whistleblower protection, accessibility and the AI Act. This is implementation experience, not legal advice.
